benjamin was reared among the great ones

he ate the food and wore the clothes of babel
so he forgot he was the child of a king
but his father knew the matter
so he sent a benefactor
with a message to awake ben from his sleep

his memory revived
he entered the waters and left babel behind
outlasting the dragon he captured the pearl
love urging him onward past the snares of that world
'til he came to the gateway that all face alone
his father there to welcome him home
