Sometimes I find myself viewing life through clouded eyes
I’m but a tiny bird flying through a stormy sky
I’m searching for something to cling to
I’m looking for something to get me through
For now I close my eyes and dream of better times

Waves of anger and sorrow crash upon the shore

Shadows of my past push me to the floor

The voices inside my head urge me to let go

Planting the seeds of change, future’s garden grow



My heart grows heavy under the weight of my mind

Future and my past let go, trouble me no more



I can’t guess where my footsteps will fall

It’s all out of my hands

If I should stumble and crawl

It’s all part of a plan



Content I see myself as part of a whole

Trust was taken from me, but hope she has not stole

I’ve found the path of my life now, broken free her hold

Take each step with a smile, watch as life unfolds



The weight upon my heart is gone

My mind has found it’s peace

The pain has left me life goes on
