Well i'll stand in front of the audience and i'll say my few lines
I'll try to write a song that contains a few rhymes

And I sleep on the floors and I drink alone

About life, about love.. sacrifice
But I, I know well about the secret they call death
He's a friend a mine, he lives a room rented out of my house
He visits me at night, he records my dreams
He says one day he'll bring me peace
But I, I kinda doubt it

But what if he, he makes my wish come true
And if I die on a warm august night, do you think I could find peace
Or better yet do you think the world would miss me
Well I doubt, I doubt it, I find it so hard to believe
That this world could go on without me
