The times spent together,
are times I wish we were together.
But no.
Denied once again
by the hands of fate.

I practice in my mind
the things I can say
to see her smile, laugh,
and brighten my day.

This heart of mine
plays stupid tricks on me;
confusing me
on which road to take.
Obviously, the path ahead is
lonesome town.
But it's only for a visit,
never will I be a permanent resident.

Still, I sit here and wait.
Waiting for the day,
she walks up to me and ask,
"Shall we dance?"
