The Drowning Effect - Straightbackwards
As I lay here in my room, surrounded by the cold of December, I wonder where the last few months have gone. Rain hits my window and tears slide down the glass, as I wonder just how the hell I have changed. It's hard to appreciate someone when you can't appreciate yourself. My opinion of the world gets worse with every opinion of myself. Every single day is locking the door to my heart. Have I hit the bottom? I don't know until I climb back up. 'Cause things aren't how they used to be. Emotion has caught up with me. Where am I slipping away to? Try to tell myself I'm different, but the pictures on my wall remind me that I'm the same.
