Once upon a time there was a little girl who wondered
"Where am I? How did I get here? who am I?"
and looked around with frightened eyes
and saw the world around her
and she saw from all her fright

that there was nothing more to life than hurting
and she cried and she said
"Maybe if I break out if I want out - if I can I'll find a place where I can be a little more of me..there is a place in here somewhere I don't know,
I'd never see her
but I think that I may find her
and if I do I will be kind to her."

Heaven looked down on you and took your hand
and showed you everything you ever needed to know
but did not understand it

Angels came down and taught you how to see
to see past the pain
to the beauty in everything
you did not know the reason

Okay all I do is follow me and just believe
in everything will make some sense
and I may find some evidence
of something somewhere
that'll be the thing

she didn't
but here we go she said and hit the road with a vengence

it didn't matter where she was
she wasn't there she thought
